Student Spotlight on:

Ayla Schuhmeier

Current student of North State Independence H.S.

Ayla is junior here at North State. Last semester, she completed a service learning project at Shasta Elementary School. She worked as an aid and student tutor for over a month with elementary school students. Ayla has an interest in a possible career in education as a teacher and she proposed the project to me as a way for her to further her career interests.

Ayla is also participating in Student Government and has helped plan a drunk driving awareness education day which will be presented to many North State students as a safety reminder a few weeks prior to graduation day.
